ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry is defending his record on immigration during a Republican debate, saying people who don't support education benefits for the children of illegal immigrants are heartless.
Perry has faced criticism from his Republican rivals on immigration since entering the presidential campaign in August.

Don’t you have a heart? LOL
He was booed on that kinda big time.
Herman Cain is awesome.
I’m thinkin’ I don’t has a heart then...
The libs must be exploding when they hear some of these (great) answers.
You don’t have a heart no matter what your last name is. LOL
<3 :P
On a serious note though, I think Perry hurt himself tonight. I don’t think people in this country are in the mood for this kinda crap anymore.
I’ll be interested to see poll results in the next week or so.
Just like he did in the last two debates, Perry is making a fool of himself.
Cold? Heartless? Maybe, but charity begins at home, and there are a lot of US Citizens hurting too that could use our help first.
Yes we have a heart AND A BRAIN! Our brain is telling us that we have a CONSTITUTION and a RULE OF LAW!! All those "representatives" that voted for illegal alien tuition provided the greatest education of all to the TEXAS residents. TEXAS REWARDS LAWLESSNESS! How's that for educating the children of illegals?
/rant
Romney just cleaned his clock with that last exchange, we need to find a CONSERVATIVE candidate to stop Romney NOW! Come on Sarah, this is it - the iron is hot.
What about having some heart for the poor Texas native kid who’s parents have stuggled to pay taxes for 18 years and gets turned down for aid. The trouble with the immigration issue is that there are victims..citizens who loose their jobs to cheap illegals, get hit by illegals with no insurance, pay their medical expenses when illegals don’t and generally suffer because of illegals. These aren’t victimless crimes.
Perry has his own ‘Solyndra’ type problem going on (no the media isn’t touching it)...and others.
Romney is Obamney care.
These are the two the media are pushing the most.
These are the two I won’t consider as giving my vote.
Hey, what other benefits should we give to foreigners and deny Americans from other states??
Sarah Palin to the Green room please.
