The establishment creatures are coming out of the woodwork.

I have a bad feeling I'm going to be a "former Republican" by the time this is all said and done.

After 30+ years as a politically active Republican in the state of California I am proud to say that I am a ‘former Republican’ having registered as an Independent years ago. Watching Bush and the Republican led congress spend like democRATs did it for me.

I think a Romney nomination may destroy the party for good.

There was one declared candidate who had a chance to unite the Tea Party and establishment wings of the party -- Rick Perry. I guess in a way he did unite them. They both decided to destroy him, and he was woefully unprepared to defend himself.

I guess the difference is while the establishment knew full well what destroying Perry would mean (Romney nomination), I think many in the Tea Party were duped. Others like Santorum and Bachmann simply sold out.

Whatever their motivations, pure or malicious, what we are left with is a liberal RINO frontrunner with no credible conservative challengers left standing to compete with him.

I am as depressed about the state of our party as I have ever been. This cannot end well.
