Successful businessmen (and women) make good governors. Governors make good presidents. So it is reasonable to believe that successful businessman Herman Cain would make a good president.
I certainly agree. You and I are the choir (I pity those who must listen to us sing!). However, it is the congregation that decides, and they most often go with governors and senators. Also, there’s the open primaries where the liberal and moderate opposition will cause all sorts of heartburn; McCain used it to his advantage in 2008, I suspect that Romney (and probably Huntsman) will use it this time.
