I live in Brownsville on the Rio Grande and you should see the wall/fence. It is a very expensive joke that really cedes a chunk of US land into a no mans land. And what many of the folks seem to think is the State of Texas' responsibility.
I disagree with the in-state tuition law and must admit Perry has done a p-poor job in handling it. But what can you say in 1 minute and 30 second sound bites.

Perry can say "I was wrong". Then, he can say "I promise to do better in the future".
Everybody will go "AWWWWWW!!!!!!!", do huggies all around, and Perry becomes a winner instead of a jerk.

yes, 1 minute and 30 seconds. My spouse sat there and timed it. Isn't even 20 seconds. That leaves 1 minute and 10 seconds for another topic or two.
They need me as an advisor FUR SHUR.

And what many of the folks seem to think is the State of Texas' responsibility. So you think you know more about the border than these people from MN, IN, IL, etc.
I believe you... but you'll never convince them!

They don't even understand that!...that it isn't the state's responsibility but the fed's.
