I see his primary weakness as: immigration. I'm wary of his use of executive orders, but he seems to have learned a lesson. I know the TTC was an issue that would have involved eminent domain, but I also realize that proposal did not go forward after conservatives expressed disapproval.
Rick Perry is not perfect. No candidate out there is, but he would be solid on most every issue I care about. He has also shown he both listens to and responds to conservative criticism.
He also would be better than Romney, and a million times better than Obama.
I know I won't convert you, and I'm not even trying to. Just realize that many conservatives are frightened about the primary options that exist if Perry does indeed fall by the wayside, as he appears to be doing.
Another major problem with Perry is crony capitalism. During his tenure Texas state government has selected business winners and losers just as much as the federal government.
