I have to admit that was a pretty stupid mistake, but it is in line with a lot of western thinking. It’s also in line with a lot of Christian thinking. I happen to disagree with it, but....too late he said it, now he has to explain it or get people to forgive him. Who knows, it may happen, it may not. Depends on what happens over the coming months.
The best thing he could is apologize for the “heartless” statement. I can’t believe he hasn’t already. He’s got some bad advisers.
