Former pizza executive Herman Cain surprised rival Rick Perry with an upset victory on Saturday in a Republican presidential straw poll in Florida, dealing a disappointing loss to the Texas governor two days after a shaky debate performance.

Perry, leading in the polls for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination to run against Democratic President Barack Obama, had needed a victory in what was an early test of strength to salve the wounds left over from a debate with his rivals on Thursday in which he struggled.

As usual, Reuters can be depended on to take the leftist perspective, using this event to badmouth Perry rather than to give Cain any credit.

Looking for a video of Mr. Cains’ speech at the straw poll in Florida, can’t find it. I love the 999 video however.

Usually I worry about our nominee winning the general election. This time I have NO doubt Cain will take Obama to wood shed and have a landside victory. The MSM including Fox and all the good ole boy talking heads like rove, kristol and the rest will brush thus off as an anomoly. Don’t let them distract you. Never ever again will they tell US who we should vote for. The people are SICK of politicians. The want problem solvers.

This is good news indeed except for the fact that lame street media won’t put it out there. The liberal’s worst fear is having a black conservative running against their half-black failure.

The good news is that Cain has enough money to buy the votes in the Florida Straw Poll.

What’s the Congressional Black Caucus to do? Support a mulatto ivy league imposter (ask blacks in Chicago what Obama did for him in his district) or a real black man with an eningeering degree and successful businessman, having grown up in the South and overcame any racial impediments that may have existed over the years.

I can foresee a fracturing of the Justice Brothers/CBC types grip on blacks, particularly middle class. The only constituents The None is going to have to rely on in 2012 are public sector union and private sector union workers.

A political tsunami will hit the mule party in 2012 and will leave decades of destruction and debris in its wake. That will be Obama’s legacy - a failed attempt at marxism wrapped in racism and the resultant neutering of a political party.

After viewing this video I easily agree with you. Look at Bill Clinton's face as the video continues. Cain's got Clinton looking up at the ceiling and doinf math in his head.

Video: Herman Cain versus Bill Clinton (great watch!)

Imagine Cain debating Obama!

Can somebody post this video as its own thread? I would but just not sure of the category. News/Activism?

Support a mulatto ivy league imposter...

You forgot "descendant of slave owners"

Abraham Lincoln freed Cain's family from Obama's slave owning great-grandparents. Now Cain's going to free us from Obama.
