I don’t consider immigration my most important issue, but that doesn’t mean it is unimportant or that I’d support an open borders candidate. Already we’re seeing that congress is unable to pass something as simple as E-Verify...there shouldn’t be any debate about that. All employers should use this easy system to verify that people who they are paying are in fact working here legally.
E-verify is NOT “the magic answer”.

Instead of trying to make employers immigration enforcers, we need to seal the border. Perry wants to do that, by surveillance and “boots on the ground”. An unsupervised fence is not effective.
