In a little over 20 years - one local S.D. went from having its own shooting team and students in Vo-Tech carrying knives on their belts every day in school, to the now ever popular “zero tolerance” for anything deemed a “weapon” on school property.

I remember transferring shotguns from my car trunk to my buddy’s truck in the school parking lot and then a bunch of us hitting the surrounding fields to hunt until dusk.

Not anymore.

Rossi makes a nice dual caliber .410 and .22 lr, with two barrels, so you change barrels to change calibers. I mkae them up for ladies who have little ones still at home, arranging the weapon so a velcro strip receives an eight shell strip when the weapon needs to swing into action. I also put a vertyical foregrip on to allow the left or right off hand to hold the weapon while being reloaded and the hammer cocked. I’ve timed it and can get a first shot off faster with my system than someone can load and shuck and fire a pump for first round. Follow up rounds are not qiute as quick, but the eapon is safer and less complicated to operate, with not having to worry about closing the slide all the way like with a pump needs to be managed.

That’s a nice looking double.. and getting close to where I’m going. Here’s one I’d get in a second if it weren’t so spendy. http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/ringneck-201a-mini-single-case-hardened/

I tried to zero in that firefield scope Friday.

Freekin elavation didn’t seem to budge.

I took it off the HK93 clone..I am sorry if I misled you on that scope.

I gotta fool around with this thing a little

The rifle works great!

Back in my high school days, shotguns and rifles were common in the parking lot. I mean as far as having them in a gun rack in the truck. They were kept in plain sight, and nobody freaked out.

Now, a kid draws a picture of a gun, will get them some quality time with the Vice Principal.

I guess I’m getting old - yearning for the “back when I was younger” days. :(

Are you sure you weren’t trying to adjust the bullet drop compensator instead of elevation. I made that mistake on a new scope not long ago, that’s why I ask.

I have that Rossi dual, in 20 gauge and .22lr. It is a handy versatile little weapon to have around.

Would be nice if Savage still made their Model 24.

I found a cheaper one, not quite as nice but I think it might just do. And I bet it’s really light and good for walking. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=248637725

Cheap chicom stuff. Did you use Loctite?

I always try to tap the scope, just to make sure. A spent piece of brass woks great.

Any of you guys have any experience with LaserLyte? A couple of on-line sites have this one for about $80 bucks, and it will fit my KelTec .380, in addition to the Ruger. It appears I could still use a standard pocket holster with no problem. Feedback, anyone?

It looks simple and solid.

How does it mount?
