a white guy would get impeached for this, easily.

Maybe, though I think Clinton mighta been able to pull it off. ("pull it off" - ugly mental picture there.)

Before the feces contacted the impeller, I recall hearing news reports that the majority of weapons used by Mexican drug cartels were purchased legally in the United States and then smuggled across the border into Mexico.

I remember that too, because I remember screaming at the TV it was a lie.

BTW, his name is not "The One," but "The Won."

Obama lied and Mexicans died.

We'd better give them Texas and California as reparations then. /s

“Only purpose was to gain back door support for gun control.

Obama told supporters he was going “under the radar” to implement gun control.

Gunwalker is it!”

Close. “under the radar” was what he told Sara Brady when asked why he wasn’t proceeding forward with more gun control.

But this wasn’t to be with a US Congress passed legislation that this was aimed at. It was to gain support inside this country for UN gun control through their small arms banning efforts involving international treaties which would circumnavigate the 2nd Amendment and the unlikely to pass constitutionally mandated process to change that amendment . IMHO.

If Tom Clancy had written a novel with a plot line of the president colluding with criminal gangs in a foreign country to subvert and nullify one of the key points in the Bill of Rights, it would have been dismissed as having jumped the shark.

This is treason on two points. The second being almost an act of war against Mexico.

But nowhere do I see “evidenceit was never a sting”.

When the government actively participates in an activity, it is not a sting. The government actively sought out drug cartel members to whom they could sell the weapons.

the heart of the story is the following and yes the administration was trying to further its gun control agenda "under the radar" of public scrutiny....

These revelations place the investigation into Gunwalker in an entirely different light. This is no longer about a 'sting operation gone bad' but a deliberate, sinister attempt to manipulate gun statistics in Mexico for political gain.

Further, CBS News has issued several stinging reports over the past few days that cast even more dark shadows over the ATF Fast and Furious operation. The NRA's Wayne LaPierre granted an interview in which he stated that Gunwalker was never intended to become public knowledge and that when it did go public the cover-up undertaken by the Administration was massive. In addition, secret tapes recently made public show that ATF officials considered the agent who blew the whistle on the agency's illegal operation to be 'toxic.'

But perhaps the most damning evidence of all was a secret audio revealed by CBS News which shows that ATF officials considered the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry with the guns the agency gave to cartels to be mere 'collateral damage.'

“In assessing any stupid action...Always default to incompetence before malevolence!”

I used to think that. but now, at least for the party leaders, I am not inclined to be so generous in my assessment. I think they really do want to destroy our society, just so long as they can get theirs. My new default position is evil, unless stupid can be proven.

Make no mistake. This was about gun control in the US, and this setback won’t stop them.

Massive arrogance led them to believe that the rule of law did not apply to them.

Well said! You are absolutely 100% correct.

That should be the epitaph of the entire Obama admnistration and every democrat member of the Pelosi led house and the Harry Reid led senate.

It is supreme arrogance, not incompetence, stupidity or carlessness that characterizes the tyrranical, illegal and unconstitutional conduct we see from every federal agency and bureaucracy under this president.

We also had the same conduct from the Pelosi led democrat majority house and still see it from the Harry Reid democrat majority senate.

Democrats interpreted their 2008 election wins as the freedom to lie, cheat, steal and trample on the constitution.

I was hoping if this proves true, that this would stay corked until closer to the election...

With the help of the mainstream media, it will be corked up until at least the middle of next summer.

Wonder when or if the arrest warrants will be issued and served on certain administration officials?

Yup. Just a big scam to try and create “proof” for a big lie they knew they were caught spreading.

It’s purpose was to flood Mexico with US guns and say “See! All these guns are coming from the United States! We have to control the guns!”

...and the more infamous “gun show loophole”. Fortunately they done been found out. Hopefully this will come crashing down on the jerks at BATFE, and those who were actually making them dance. I think we owe some thanks to Senator Grassley who has been attempting to get this story out in the
open
