Be nice. She has a lot of the skillsets. She is on my short-list after Cain and if Palin doesn’t get in.

She is 100 percent correct. Are you one of those RINO supporters? Why are you on this site if you don’t agree with her statement......very strange situation you are in. You don’t agree that we need a true conservative but yet you are here.....hummmmmmmmm.

Who gets to define what a "True Conservative" is, napscoordinator?

You? Michele Bachmann? Sarah Palin?

Sarah Palin called Rick Perry a "True Conservative" but, to some, like you, "True Conservative" actually means "Not anybody that disagrees with ME about anything".

Nowadays, not even Ronald Reagan would qualify as a "True Conservative" according to the card-carrying members of the Conservatively Holier Than Thou Club.

In fact, compared to Rick Perry, Governor Ronald Reagan looked like a flaming liberal.

But, don't just take my opinion for it.

Reagan's son Michael Reagan comments about how his father would have fared in the primaries today: ….. "If you look at my father and you just knew him as governor -- raised taxes, signed an abortion bill, no-fault divorce, and a few other things -- today, the argument against him would come from the Right; not from the Left. ….. He would have trouble getting his own nomination, but yet he ended up being the greatest president in our lifetimes. ….. We need to look at the whole package, the whole picture, everybody, and stop nit-picking ourselves to death."

Any other answer would have given critics a number to beat her with. .... Iron Munro

To say 100% is pure idiocy. ... BRL

But, you must admit, it is as "Red Meat" and "Politically Pure" as you can possibly get and it does fit very nicely on a bumper sticker:

"NO TAXES ... AT ALL"

An answer that discusses the Laffer Curve simply does not fit on a bumper sticker or fit into 30 seconds.

Once upon a time in America, in the days of the Lincoln Douglas debates, candidates had to develop and defend their positions in the following format: One candidate spoke for 60 minutes, then the other candidate spoke for 90 minutes, and then the first candidate was allowed a 30-minute response.

Today, in the dumbing down of America, "debates" have become a silly Dog & Pony Show where candidates compete to throw out brainless bumper sticker soundbites before the 30 second buzzer goes off.
