U.S. Government Used Taxpayer Funds to Buy, Sell Weapons During 'Fast and Furious'
Fox News ^ | Sept. 26, 2011

Posted on 09/26/2011 11:25:52 PM PDT by T.L.Sink

Not only did U.S. officials approve, allow and assist in the sale of more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa cartel - the federal government used taxpayer money to buy semi-automatic weapons and then watched as the guns disappeared. This disclosure, revealed in documents obtained by Fox News, could undermine Justice's previous defense that Fast and Furious was a "botched" operation where agents simply "lost track" of weapons as they were transferred from one illegal buyer to another. Instead, it heightens the culpability of the federal government as Mexico has opened two criminal investigations into the operation that flooded their country with illegal weapons. Operation Fast and Furious began in 2009 and ATF agents encouraged gun stores to sell weapons to an arms smuggling gang and watched as the guns crossed the border and were used in crimes. In June 2010, however, the ATF dramatically upped the ante, making the U.S. government the actual "seller" of guns.

It's my understanding the FBI had “turned” someone high up in the Sinola drug cartel. The weapons were steered to them so they could expand their turf and drive out smaller cartels.

This being the case, how does this make the FBI different from the Mafia members they the prosecute under RICO statutes?

Folks, we have large numbers of federal law enforcement engaged in: murder, extortion, gun running, drug running, money laundering, violation of export regulations for international arms transfer, and destabilization of foreign governments.

So, which one of our brave politicians wants to take the bull by the horns and run with this? Don't hold your breath waiting for the gutless, spineless Republicans to do it.

Don't wait for the Donkeys and libs who have enabled this evil. Don't wait for the Mainstream Media to report this because they are part of the conspiracy. Bluntly, Americans have a REAL problem with this government.

Call the grand jury - start the indictments. I think Attorney General Eric Holder should be first in line. This whole debacle is a shameful action on the part of our government “controllers.”

I wonder what they did with the gains on the sale of these weapons?

What is sad is that too many good Americans think electing “anybody but Obama” is going to fix this country’s problems.

Why they would choose to support one cartel over the others, I dunno.

Governments have been involved in drug running for hundreds of years. Ever hear of the Boxer Rebellion? The British Empire in the nineteenth century was practically built upon the opium trade. Where do you think all the hundreds of billions in profits from the modern drug trade, made even greater from the illegal status of the product, end up? Wall St. and the City of London that's where. The added benefit to all this is that populations doped up on drugs, both legal and illegal, are much easier to loot and lord over.

There could be something to the suspicions that our government has trained and armed members of Mexican gangs. I don’t know if that would be a bigger conspiracy than an attempt to undermine the the 2nd Amendment, or just part of it. Nothing is too stupid, too irrational, too immoral or too brutal to be excluded from things our government will do, especially with a couple of extremists like Obama and Holder at the controls.

Our government was never meant to be as big or divided from the people as the monster the US federal government has grown into. Corruption is unavoidable, and this is an instance where the corruption has been exposed. Thank God!

I think with the GOP controlling the House the Dems won’t be able to cover this up. It’s too big a scandal. By the way, Holder never should have been confirmed after it became known that he deliberately pardoned fugitive swindler Marc Rich. But he’s one of Obama’s black brethren so things like that don’t count.

Right - it’s really about an administration that is totally out-of-control. This is why “high crimes and misdemeanors” isn’t hype but a description of how and why innocent Americans and Mexicans were maimed and murdered. The administration is acting like Murder Incorporated.
