The email shows that there is NO verification of anything in the book. You can bet that if there was any truth to it that it would have been all over the lefty sites and MSM 24/7. That is why I asked for context and that is why I capitalized the word, "IF". Assuming (a HUGE assumption) that any of the alleged words of Rice are accurately quoted, it is obvious that the quote was heavily edited and intentionally pieced together from a longer statement. Even at that, what was allegedly said in no way corroborates the salacious claim.

Surely the Internet amateurs know better than the pros how to strategize and conduct a defamation litigation.
Palin has the advantage of knowing precisely what assertions in the book are false.
Which means that anything she doesn’t allege as false will be taken as an admission of truth.
If Sarah is to declare her candidacy, I will probably, most certainly vote for her but God help her with the rabid nutcases that are sick with infatuation over her and actually think they are somehow doing her campaign a favor. Sometimes, the crazy aunt really should stay in the attic until the dust has settled.

The serve and demand letter is the basic groundwork for a suit over the defamation of the family members prior to asking for a large amount of money. The additional concept is that the fool seems to have drawn attorneys into a position where they have to testify. The attornies will throw the fool under the legal bus, along with his publisher.
Random House should settle now, for big bucks.
When Governor Palin is nominated for President, she might be able to pay for the campaign with Random House money.
