Which is more “mean spirited” - charging a student more for a baked good - or denying a student a place at your University because they didn’t have the correct skin color - and instead giving the place to a less qualified individual with the correct skin color?
The only thing I see that the students did wrong is that Asian students should be charged MORE than Caucasian students - not LESS.
Nobody gets a worse deal in college admissions than an academically excellent (but not extraordinary) Asian student.
Correct. It is mean-spirited.
Towards Whites.
The writer refuses to acknoledge that the Liberal mindset requires that all good things occur due to their largess.
What egos!
The vermin media would have us believe that EVERYTHING done ANYWHERE outside the approved Liberal Playbook is ‘Mean Spirited’. This therefore makes the moniker of ‘Mean Spirited’ an acknoeldgement of truth and further, a badge of honor...
how is this mean spirited, while the bill before governor moonbeam isn’t?
When liberals look at themselves in a mirror, they never seem to recognize who their looking at.
Education for CA libs:
1. A bake sale is not mean spirited.
2. Making me purchase insurance I don’t need is mean spirited.
3. Using my tax $$ to fund things not in the constitution is mean spirited.
4. Calling Sarah Palin stupid whilst actually claiming that the Obamabutt has a brain at all is mean spirited.
etc. etc, etc.
Shove it up your smelly Obamas, libs.
If any comment or action demonstrates or implies that the Free S**t Army (as Karl Denninger calls it) doesn’t, in fact, deserve any Free S**t - it’s mean-spirited. We know this game well.
Reverse discrimination is still discrimination.
My hat is off to the students who are shining a light on the discriminatory practices of the university.
This is just like the new U-180 film floating around that is absolutely fabulous in getting students to agree that Hitler’s techniques to brainwash people to believe that Jews were not human is the same technique used today by the pro-choice crowd to believe that the fetus is not human. Find the best similar situation, get people to agree that it is wrong, and then apply it to the other situation. Kind of reminds me of teaching with parables!
Meanies!
They should have charged white and asian studente double and made them give away half the goodie to a person of color~
You know - Whites are people of color too! The combination of ALL colors in the spectrum. Black is technically the lack of color!
wow. These people will name call and do anything but discuss the issue in an adult and reasonable manner.
The UCB GOP failed at one thing, they should have opened another bake sale booth next to it where the prices were set based on goods being sold, not who they were sold to. The have a sign above that booth with the message “This is how colleges should operate” and above the other one put the banner “This is how the college system is currently ran”.
They needed to compare and contrast the differences between how it is and how it SHOULD be.
mean-spirited = true
"Mean spirited" is a codeword to be applied to anything of which the socialists do not approve.
They are the self appointed arbiters of all things unfair, unjust, or biased and it is mean-spirited to expose them as the mean, deceitful, lying and bullying people that they really are.
Instead of the "White/Caucasian, $2; Black/African American, $0.75" charged at UC Berkeley, the prices at the University of Wisconsin may have been "White/Caucasian, $375; Black/African American, $0.75" for realism.
Day 1. Sell too ethnic minorities and women only
excluding white males.
Day 2. Sell too white males only.
See which gets a pass.
"Mean spitied" in this context means that it was effective in getting it's message across. The liberal media hates it when anyone on the conservative side makes valid points.
