Actually, no. We are a Nation of free men and women who can go for a walk without our papers. We should not be subject to random ID checks, drunk checks, or citizenship checks.
In contrast, when someone is arrested, it’s appropriate to check everything you can find on them. And with the World Court telling us that we have to contact embassies for aliens, it’s only appropriate to check citizenship.
Far better than the necessity to remove aliens from out cities, or at least with an equal priority, we should be preventing their entry.
