The reason Israel doesn’t waste assets in the Negev desert is because there is nothing out there.
Texas has a lot of the same issues.
Perry says aerial surveillance is more effective in these areas, and he is correct.
I know, from personal experience.
I live in AZ. The cartels are rerouting farther every day into open desert to dodge the BP. A solid, unbroken fence and BP/NG patrols are harder to get over/under/through/across than a wide open border with ‘nothing’ in it.
