He makes a good point that youtes' initial preferences mirror what their parents say. This may indicate a groundswell of support if Cain can access it. May God smile on Herman Cain.

Did you tell them that if they vote for Obama - he’ll give them pie.

But...

If they vote for Cain - he’ll promise them PIZZA!

Couldn’t help but notice that Palin appeared on Greta, for more soft ball questioning, long enough to drop a little bomblit, referring to Herman Cain “with no offense BUT...” as the “flavor of the week”.

the students who like Cain were enthusiastic about him, saying: "Cain, Cain, Cain,"

Soon to progress into a "nine, nine, nine" chant.

Possibly excited because now there is a real 100% black man in the running, and not a half-a$$ed 1.

I think all Americans like plain talkers like Cain. Obama plays to a black audience but can’t really pull off being one of them. Cain doesn’t make a distinction and doesn’t try to fake it.

Mayor Dave Bing in Detroit is a true democrat but he’s a similar sort of man as Cain in the sense that they don’t try to play to a strictly black audience. The people (aside from the unions) seem to like Bing despite the fact that he slaps them around with reality. They still cling to his blackness but let him say things that no white man dare say. The fact that he skipped the Obama union rally was quite telling.

"Obama has not helped people get jobs.

A lot of people are unemployed. To get hired you must be well groomed, well educated and well spoken. You must have skills needed in the work place.

So much of this job talk is just that. Talk.

It would be wonderful - even if we only got 30% of the black vote - or 20%. We might pick up a little of the Jewish vote too... If we ‘do what’s right’ long enough - we’ll win new friends over..

“”Cain, Cain, Cain,” and someone in almost every class said: “Obama has not helped people get jobs.” “

Yeah, well, I hope the teacher is informing them that it is not the job of the President to help them get jobs and that that is up to them. But, that the Pres. can make it difficult to get jobs by creating an environment where businesses can’t/don’t hire - or, as in the case of 0bama, deliberately and thoroughly wrecking the economy.

FWIW, Cain has been predicting he would get 1/3 of the black vote. If he’s correct, there’s no way Obama could overcome it.

Cain could be the first black President. Obama is no more black than he is white.

But, without fail, the students who like Cain were enthusiastic about him

Positive intensity. He's been at the top for that since day one. Cain would be a fantastic mentor and example for youth today, and black youth especially are in dire need of some good mentoring (and two-parent families...).

I find it remarkable that you have a vocation fraught with chains of slavery, yet use it to encourage freedom. Must be rewarding at the end of the day. I envy you. Thanks for being there for those kids.

Teacher here too, FLorida. Was at CPAC this past weekend and I am telling you he stole the show. Not because he’s a great speaker, although he is, but because it wasnt the same ol’ recycled political speech. He was completely without notes, off the cuff yet pure genius. The crowd response to him vs. all other candidates was unparalleled.
I totally hope his campaign holds together. The way I see it, Obama proves that incompetence comes in all colors and Cain demonstrates that common sense knows no color.

It doesn’t surprise me. There was a poll that showed 45% of democrats would vote for Cain over Obama. I thought that was a fluke but some squishy left democrats are taking a look at Cain, because of his economic, immigration and social views.

I believe some people are democrats because they are really just not educated on the differences of the two parties. Cain had people who called into his show like that.

The hard left though, that’s a whole other ball game.
