Wouldn’t the terrorists hurt Obama’s reelection chances? Why would they want to do that?

Seriously - it could HELP bummers reelection if there were a terrorist attack. I think I remember Bent Clinton wistfully wishing that he could have stood on that smoking pile of rubble with a bull horn.

Which could explain why Gore blatantly tried to steal the 2000 election. I can't help but believe they knew it was coming, but didn't alert Bush hoping he'd panic screw it up. They stopped him from entering the White House as long as they could, hoping it would happen before he actually got in the door. Clinton would have had to stay - "for the sake of the American people."
The left was wayyyyy too depressed because it didn't happen on their watch. For me, that was a flag. It wasn't about the victims - it was about them politically.
