If you had told me fifteen years ago that Federal agents would be stationed at airports to sexually molest grandmas, children and the handicapped before they could board a plane, I would have laughed.
The constitution would never allow people being searched without a warrent and the American people would never pose naked for the Federal government and permit agents to systematically rub their boobs and crotches so they could use transportation.
Actually, I hold the opposite view that you assume I do. I had a tagline for the longest time that read, "If Hitler had been as lazy as Obama, the 1940's would have been a pretty nice decade."
However, your assumption that it CANNOT happen due to the Constitution is flawed in the extreme. In the course of history, many documents have been brushed aside, or quick laws passed to overturn them, when a dictator moves to rule. *That* is what I am pointing out.
Pardon me for putting in my .02...but the day that Obama assumes dictatorial powers, there won't BE a Free Republic to go to. Bet your backside that one of the FIRST things they'll do is pull the plug on the internet to prevent anyone who would oppose him from communicating.
There's one thing preventing him from doing it...US! No piece of paper will stop someone from doing something incredibly stupid and/or evil. It's the POWER behind that document that does, and that power is the American people. I grant you that it was the (uninformed, stupid, deceived, or even willfully ignorant) American people that put him there, but it's going to be the (intelligent, informed, patriotic, and WELL ARMED) American people that'll get us out of it.
