Kyrgyzstan's parliament has voted to ban gambling, meaning casinos will close throughout the country.
The bill was passed with almost no opposition, following repeated warnings from politicians that gambling has become a major social problem.

Of all people on earth, Easterners and Asians generally, ADORE gambling. This has to really hurt!
In the meantime, wife beating is OK, opium growing and trafficking is OK, arbitrarily changing sides in your wars is OK, living a subsistance lifestyle but owning an AK weapon is OK.....etc.

Tell me about it. Every Asian I know is a gambling junkie. Heck, I even knew a Pakistani Muslim in Prague, and he LOVED to gamble! Friday nights, you’d find him down at the casino, in front of a one-armed bandit, with a cigarette in one hand and a tumbler of Jameson in the other. I told him one time, “On a Friday, Mohammed? My cousin used to work for a company that had him traveling internationally on a regular basis.
He said that as soon as the plane got into international air space, all the oriental guys would go to the back of the plane for cards and stay there the whole flight.
if Mohammed spent that much time hanging around casinos he really wasn’t into virgins anyway...
