Christie was the more liberal of the candidates who won the New Jersey Republican primary for governor in 2009. He ran with the support of a definite liberal Republican, Rudy Giuliani.

Its public opinion and budget necessity (people would not tolerate more taxes) that forced him to ask teachers for a pay freeze and put caps on school administrators salaries.

I think the difference is that both Giuliani and Christie would actually run the country to right than they would run NYC or Trenton. I don't think Christie would impose blue state control on a national bases. In Fact, I think 90% of the issues that made him a RINO in NJ would irrelevant nationally.

Having said that, I am not prepared to support him in the primary. If he did get the nomination I would support him. Hell, I would vote for Chumlee on Pawnstars over 0bama.
