Huckabee looks again at Republican presidential bid

Mike Huckabee has been approached by Republican and conservative activists unhappy with the current crop of presidential hopefuls and he is considering entering the fray, two sources who have spoken with Huckabee told Reuters.

The former Arkansas governor, who made a splash by winning the Iowa caucuses as a candidate in 2008, announced last May on his Fox News show that he would not enter the race.

But the conservative Huckabee, who appeals to evangelical Christians and is seen as an effective campaigner, is taking another look at jumping in, said the two sources, who are close to Huckabee. They spoke to Reuters on the condition of anonymity.

"He is entertaining the request for conversations about it," one of the sources said. "I do not think it is a complete 100 percent 'I'm reconsidering' but he hasn't shut the door on it."

His running and other RINOs running might be a good thing. Split the RINO vote in the primaries and let a conservative win.

You said it, honey.

We’ve had three debates already and that’s an opportunity for US, the voters, to begin vetting our candidates.

IMHO, people who don’t show aren’t too interested in my vote or my money.

The field has already been parsed down to three contenders. A RINO from hell, a compassionate conservative who can’t speak, and a solid conservative who’s so far right that he’ll risk alienating some swing voters.

But it’s a pretty good representation of who we are, as a party. We don’t need any more cooks in the kitchen.

At this point it wouldn’t surprise me if Bob Dole was considering coming out of retirement and running again...

is this a bad dream or what?

Illegals have more GOP candidates running for GOP nomination than US citizens. Big Government pro-tax pro-illegal Bigot is the last thing we need.

I swore I never vote for Dem, but if Huckabee is the GOP candidate, I’ll rather vote Obama (or Ron Paul in his 3rd party quest).

FWIW:

@RealClearScott Scott Conroy
HuckPAC’s Hogan Gidley: “[Huckabee]’s made his mind up, and he’s still comfortable with that decision.”

“First Christie, now Huckabee...

Fat candidates are the “in” thing now?”

Wouldn’t you want somebody that weighs enough to play offensive lineman in the NFL to run interference for you?

(to split your primary opponents vote; maybe I was taking the analogy too far)

I mean That's what I hear all time on Sarah, does it apply to Huckabee as well?

Yes it does - and it's nice of you to admit it applies to Sarah...

“Preacher” Hucklebee needs to remember this verse in the Holy Bible(KJV), James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Until Cain jumped up, I would have responded to the “the field is set” with “We’re doomed!”

There won’t be a single new entry into the race folks, period.

Wishful thinking run amok.
