The political class works for only the global corporatists, who are only loyal to profits for international shareholders and investors and of course management. Politicians do not work for us or the USA. There is no longer such an entity as an “American” corporation when it comes to big business. They are corporations with multiple citizenships of convenience, and that allows them to dip into the trough of taxpayers of various countries and pick candidates that benefit them. The SCOTUS just helped them in that quest with Citizens United.
The global corporatists / new world order types dominate both major Parties and have the goal of eliminating sovereignty of nations and having open borders.
Individual politicians pretend to politic against illegal immigration but it is mostly all pretend to help get them elected. When the rubber hits the road they will collude and connive and the borders will remain open and they will push amnesty for cheap labor and destruction of our culture and sovereignty. Both Parties play the game and we are their patsies. We need Parties that will work for the US citizens and not global corporate citizens.

You know it occurred to me that we have yet to see a SINGLE Perry supporter admit that trying to call Michelle soft on illegal immigration, with this twisted indictment of her - as obvious as it is. It really shows just how NASTY these people are, now that they’re having to face some opposition. I don’t they’ve ever had to deal with it before. It also reflects badly on Perry.
Get a grip on yourself...

Unfortunately, what Montag said is, in fact, true. And Perry continues to be happy with his position. Apparently, his supporters do, too.
I don't support Bachmann, but you're right. It's important to point that out. It is also the main reason members of legislatures so rarely become president. It's just too easy to pin justifiable votes like this on them which end up making them look bad.
True, but in this case Perry did like it. He still says so. I like Perry, but that's the truth. It's not the same situation at all. He's wrong on that issue, and he stuck his foot in his mouth aaying if you disagree you don't have a heart. He apologized for saying that, which was a good move. Now if he would make a plain commitment to enforce the current laws and not try to shove "comprehensive immigration reform" down our throats he might put it behind him. But attacks on Bachmann ain't gonna help. Bachmann isn't his problem on this, the conservative base is.

Still same old tired talking points again. Perry is a conservative. I have seen his actions for years in TX. He is a staunch conservative. Also tired of your insults against Texans too.
Of all the candidates out there, I trust Bachman to undo ObamaCare more than any of the others.
Mitt Romney also supported illegal immigration, sanctuary cities, and tuition breaks for illegals.
I don’t care if Perry vetoed the Texas Dream act or not, he’s a closet liberal (Not even really closet, since he used to be a professed Democrat). I was responding to a poster who attempted to say that Bachmann, who proposed a budget amendment to limit in state tuition to only legal persons (that failed), was the same as Perry who is touting how only those who draw illegals to invade our sovereign nation have a heart.
I personally don’t support either one of these candidates for President (I will NEVER support Rick Perry, and I don’t think Bachmann will make it past the primary), but they are nothing alike in principle, nor in practice.

You know what they say about opinions. I am sorry what has happened to Michele Bachmann. I have had great respect for her. Take a look at Perry’s Townhall meeting in NH...if after watching that and you still consider him dumb. Then you and I are in different realities.
Plus, he endorsed Mitt Romney in 2008. I find it so interesting when Cain is touted as a devout conservative, yet he endorsed arguably the most wishy-washy candidate, Mitt Romney. Just 3 years ago.
Now go ahead and tell me Romney was better than McCain. Because that was 3 years ago and blah-blah-blah even though Sarah Palin (God's gift to conservatism) wanted to serve with McCain.
