Same thing happened to my breast cancer survivor wife a year ago, shortly after her surgery. She was in tears after the grope down. We never fly now. 2500 mile trip, burn the gas.

“I drove 28 hours rather than fly 6”

I bet you got to see some really nice sights, though. Yes...I am sure it is hard on the driver but it did free you to visit a nice shop or dine at a local joint. (I’m looking at it like the glass is half full)

Haven't flown since 2006. I might belt somebody if I did.

It can ruin a trip. My last flight was not good because of delays.

My last flight was not good because of delays.

My sis was on a biz trip, dared to ask TSA a question, and was taken away in cuffs. Cost her 12 grand.

I don't know how bad this is for the economy, but it's bad. Muslims don't have to bomb us. They can make us suffocate ourselves.

Best regards with your surgery. TSA will have a problem trying to figure that out...

She actually had to pay $12,000??

She was arrested. And that's what it costs a white person to go through the system.

May I ask what she said?

Amtrak for me, or the car.

My biz partner recently signed up with a time-share on a private plan along with 12 individuals/companies and he has never been so relaxed in his life. Just drive to the different parking close to the tarmac and board.

None of that “get your laptop out of the bag and put it in the tray..and remove your shoes and place them in the tray...

...IN THE TRAY!!”

I got the pat down in Seattle, because the clips on my suspenders beeped. Held up the line while waiting for the pat downer, a quick wanding and all would be over. Everyone knew it was my suspenders, but regs are regs.

I’ve been waiting for one of these threads since we came back from Taiwan 3 weeks ago. Going through security there was so different than here. No taking shoes off. No taking computers out of bags. However, they really knew what they were looking for in the x-ray machine . They seemed to employ more of the Isreali model.

I'd be in jail for flooring whomever touched my wife ... male OR female.

The words "fight back" need to start MEANING something again.

I’ve driven through parts of WV, and it is beautiful! I may decide to drive that way again soon, since I’ve just gotten a new car.

I won’t fly until they stop with the Nazi thing.

Well drive on over to the West side. There’s free lodging here at the Nan household. Ask Mama Bear or Just Amy.

You’ll have to ask her. I’m not sure that anything she could have said would have justified the show of force they demonstrated on her. Especially knowing my sister, and knowing uniforms.

Just Freep mail me when you’re ready. Have to check to see if the suite is open or not. We get a lot of visitors. Going to have to start booking reservations. LOL. At least we’re cheap.

I flew today, and watched while TSA agents required a frail old man in a wheelchair to stand and walk into a whole body scanner (it was very difficult for him to walk). Then, they also made him stand up for the full body pat-down!

Surprise, surprise, no weapons or contraband on that great-grandpa!

It turns out that it was his 91st birthday...
