I supported her for a long time (I think even one of my quotes on my about-me page is pro-Palin), but at this point I think she has no intention of getting in the race, and is playing a media game.
I don’t think she’s the panacaea that some people think. And she speaks as stupidly as Biden sometimes.
We have a very poor crop of candidates, as usual. Cain is in the tank for the Fed, Perry is basically a one-worlder like Bush, and of course Romney is pathetic.
As usual, we’re being taken for a ride, and the usual idiots on our side turn on each other like rabid dogs.
I’m aware of SarahPac. I’ve donated to it myself. That fund isn’t a presidential campaign fund but rather a fund to give to other candidates. It helped bring about the huge tea party victory in the last election. Palin isn’t taking that money and running away. It’s being used quite wisely.
I hope that’s right.
I’m still angry with the crop of candidates we have, and I don’t think Palin is getting in at this stage, and the only reason for her to be acting like she might is to gain personal attention. And they’re going to split the conservative vote like usual, and we’re going to have a terrible candidate as usual.
There’s no need for them to talk about suspending democracy - it’s already suspended for Republicans through the tricks they use to get whatever candidate they want.
This reminds me of another post I respoonded to a couple days ago. The FReeper was angry because he thought Palin was hurting the other candidates in the race. I pointed out that if she is planning a presidential run, hurting other candidates would probably be one of her goals since she can't win unless she takes out the competition. Similarly, if she's planning a presidential run, another of her goals might be to keep attention on herself. You see, all you have to do change your paradigm and her actions make perfect sense. You also have to understand her character, and contrary to the picture the press wants to paint, she is not a selfish money-grubbing attention seeker.
OK. If she gets in I’ll recant my statement. And if she doesn’t, I’ll expect you guys to.
