My apology for being a cynic. While this maybe is a good sign, will it last or is this a ruse, in play, by this mentioned imam to start the flow of American and Allies’ funds and continuation of the enemy of my enemy is my friend till no longer useful? (imho) too many variables, yet will pray this act holds and others result.

Hey, cynicism has its place. Unfortunately, this Synagogue will not be resurrected so easily. However, the Jewish man came back to Libya this summer and fought with the rebels in the Nafusa mountains. This is a strongly Berber (non Arab) area, and I read elsewhere that the Berbers were supportive of Jewish rights. Time will tell.
