Seems like he’s doing well in a lot of straw polls that I’ve never heard of before. I hope that starts translating into good showings in gallup and rasmussen soon.
The new Gallup should come out today - last week he was still leading positive intensity, with name recognition at 51%. That polling was taken before the debates and Florida poll. It will be interesting to see today.

I’m not sure if anyone posted this elsewhere on FR, but in La Crosse WI the local Republicans had a gathering the other night partly to honor Senator Kapanke (R) who lost the recall election a couple of months ago. About 150 local Republican officeholders/supporters attended, so someone got the idea they should have a straw poll. I don’t know the other results, but they were somewhat surprised that Cain won handily with 42% of the votes of those attending.
Interesting, no?
