It wasn't like they just decided to kill him and whacked him immediately. The NYT, LA Times, and others reported back in 2010 that Anwar al-Awlaki was a target. He wasn't added to the "capture or kill" list until it was approved by the National Security Council.

When was AAA stripped of his rights as an American? Government cannot strip you of those God-given rights without due process and I'm not seeing where due process was followed.
