On the long run, Perry is going to prevail over Cain. It’s better to be considered heartless than be considered a bigot.
Except that Perry did not merely call the conservative base heartless, he also called them RACISTS (”don’t like the sound of their sound name”) for disagreeing with him on illegals.
Perry supporters accusing ANYONE of race-baiting is the height of hypocrisy.
Why do you think the big moneyed group is trying to get Chris Christie into the race? (And I’ve heard if not Christie, Jeb Bush will come in like John McCain did!) Have you read “Family of Secrets”?
