I want Rick Perry as the President getting the country back to work, strengthening our national security and truly caring about the U.S.

You seem to be more bothered about Perry’s Texas accent. I guess you’d like Obama talk for 4 more years or the elite, Mitt Romney’s well spoken double talk.

He already has plenty of liberal approval for his coddling of illegal aliens, backing of Al Gore, sanctuary cities, opposition to e-verify, crony capitalism and LaRaza dealings. How much more does he need?

"Claims made.

Refuted.

Next?"

I've seen these various claims made, and their substance rationalized by Perry supporters. But effectively refuted? I think not.

The phony apology over his "heartless" comment is every bit as insulting as the comment itself. He wants us to all think it was a gaffe. It WASN'T.

Watch the Perry comment again. He was PASSIONATE when he said it.

Start at the 2:40 mark.

If Perry believes the Mexican Army and the Mexican Government are “fighting” the drug cartels, he’s a bigger idiot than I gave him credit for.

Why would I read something with a title I know is patently false? 'splain it to me in your own words.

I've seen Perry's track record and I've seen yours. Who do you think I'm going to bet on?

I'll give you a clue, DNMFOHE, it ain't you.

He did not create jack, a storm move tens of thousands of people from new Orleans to Texas, billions of tax payers money was spent on this, the balance was migration to the south that had been going on for the past thirty years. Are do you think he caused the population growth to Georgia and Florida also.

I guess the fact that my handle is “JoenTX”.......as in Joe in Texas, born and raised.....completely missed you?

His accent? Lady, Perry doesn’t have much of an accent as far as I’m concerned. It’s a little subdued compared to what I hear from most native born folks.

I guess he'll have to make due w/o your vote. As the sub-title of the article says, "with no need in the world to win liberal approval."

Perry has had a very successful run as Governor of Texas and jobs have led the way.

If Perry can hold off Romney, the race baiter, the retard and ALL the attack yahoos on the left and right, he has a great chance to beat Obama.

I don’t know how much of that he actually believes. It may just be the perfunctory thing to say.

However, indeed, the Mexican military is hip-deep in the drug trade and the Mexican Federals can’t do a damn thing about it even if they wanted to. In Mexico, the government doesn’t tell the military what to do.

You are fun.

You think all the people that have swelled our population, built businesses and filled job rolls are only from people who fled New Orlean’s disaster with Katrina and natural migration?

Wow. That’s not factual.

Do you care about facts?

If your premise is correct, why is only Texas doing so well?

Perhaps it’s due to the things mentioned in the article.

As FReeper caww insightfully posted: ...... there is a cloud over Texans in how they discern the times, and their state, WRT the rest of our nation.

On one hand they clamor for more federal assistance for the border but are delusional in believing they can control the infiltration....

Perry's self-serving govt policies have created, and enabled, the out-of-control border they are now contending with....they want it both ways...too late.

Soon Texas will also be dealing with their Muslim population in ways they never anticipated......again, thanks to Perry's self-serving use of govt power.

Denial is working against them in every way....though they see the problem now...they refuse to accept common sense solutions, and the fact that they are part of the problem.

John Fund isn’t some unknown blogger. He had a long history with the Wall Street Journal before moving to the Spectator. He’s a commentator entitled to his opinions, which are at least researched and sourced.

You may not like what he says and are free to disagree, but he’s more credible than 99% of what is posted on the internet.
