WASHINGTON - New documents obtained by CBS News show Attorney General Eric Holder was sent briefings on the controversial Fast and Furious guns operation as far back as July of 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress on May 3, 2011

I thought Holder would surely have been fired when the New Black Panthers at the polls video was released - but NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo! You see, it's OK to do whatever you want, no matter HOW corrupt it is, under this administration!

They also said that he gets lots of memos, but he ignores most of them. "Misunderstood" might make him sound less incompetent or less lazy, but what is hard to understand about selling guns to drug gangs?

IMHO, you are assuming a fact NOT in evidence. You are assuming that Issa, Grassley, the GOP candidates and ALL the other GOP politicians actually give a damn about the United States of America and its citizens and not merely about the comfort and luxury of their own personal lives.

Issa is calling for a special prosecutor. My guess is that this is how it will play out:
The prosecutor will start gathering evidence, when Holder and Obama are on the hook, the republicans will try to get as much media attention as they can on this. Democrats will read the signs, if it gets traction - which it is actually now, they will tell Obama to bow out of 2012.
*If he backs out it (F&F) will die.
** If he stays with it, democrats will abandon him and allow him to go down alone in flames.
The guy is toxic now and the democratic senate is going to lose seats because of him. They will not pick up congressional seats in ‘12 either.
Considering that CBS is now covering this, along with FOX and the LA Times (extensively) the rest of the media can not ignore it no matter how much they try.
Kudos to Issa and Grassley, they have done a remarkable job to this point.

Jeff I love ya brother, but I think that we are just too entrenched in the belly of the beast to pull ourselves out now.
Unless we can get the media to start reporting honestly again, on republicans and democrats our nation is doomed.
Face it, the biggest problem that we have is that elections are treated as voting on “Dancing with the stars”
It is a likability contest. History, deeds, actions, records and character go out the window with 50% of the public. They vote for the “pretty” candidate ..
Had the media come clean with Obama, he would have been a failed side note in the last election. He wouldn’t have made a headline. Imagine someone like Herman Cain or Chris Christie (just examples) refusing to divulge any personal information - declaring it off limits. Hell they all but gave Sarah Palin a pap smear on national television. Yet Obama .. well being the bleeding heart liberal socialist darling that he is he never even really had to explain his ties with the black panthers, Jerimia Wright or Bill Ayers. All just swept under the rug.
His academic records?? Who knows?
The media is where it is at. Without them .. the country is screwed blued and tattooed.

I have followed this since it came to light.
Bottom line is this. It happened in such a way, between agencies that it had to be coordinated from and by Holder.
Holder would not have done this without Obama’s permission.
Obama would not have thought it up on his own .. I can honestly say that HRC was probably the one who devised it.
Janet Napolitano was also in the loop since she was the one who suspended the boarder patrol from stopping people and ordering them to back off.
You have 4 players there, and they are the ones who were the responsible parties. Hopefully Mexico will really be upset over this and demand international tribunals against them.
Just remember something, most people do not realize that federal agencies like FBI, ATF, DEA etc etc etc do not do ANY cases without running them by their respective US attorneys offices. In reality, the US attorneys generally tell the agencies what they want to see done and the agents just go out and do it.
This happened in several Attorney’s jurisdictions. There is no way on gods green earth that they all hatched this dumb plan with international implications on their own that they would KNOW would land them in hot water or jail.
They were given marching orders. What they never counted on was ATF agents putting the country ahead of their jobs and blowing the whistle on the whole thing.

I don’t know that they should really. They need to stay on focus and not get involved with ‘investigations’.
Even if Obama were impeached at this point, would they really be justified at this point in time of going after that? I don’t think so. They are trying to distinguish themselves among each other. The time for coming head on against Obama is yet to come.
Save that ammunition for the battle one on one.

Relax .. Issa is letting them dig a BIG hole.
people have been saying for months .. nobody is going to do anything. Why not go after them now! Impeache them.
But Issa has stayed true to course, dug, gathered evidence, continued and the hole is getting deeper and deeper and deeper.
When the investigation is done. When no more information can be gathered. When no more witnesses can be deposed. When they have every fact nailed down. THEN we start screaming to go after them.
Then we start calling congressmen and senators to impeach.
But the last thing I want to see is it being half done. I want no wiggle room. NAIL THEM DOWN. Give them no room to escape.
Then try them for treason.
he forgot that the FBI was behind it 100% because it was their informant who started this thing. And they okayed each and every individual buyer!
