Coming Soon: Kagangate

Supreme Court: Forget unconvincing liberal demands that Clarence Thomas recuse himself from the ObamaCare case because his wife is a Tea Partyer. Ex-Obama operative Elena Kagan has a true conflict.

To buttress the flimsy case of leftist groups like Common Cause that he step down from judging whether ObamaCare is unconstitutional, 20 House Democrats last week called for an investigation into Justice Thomas' not filling out financial disclosure forms to their satisfaction regarding his wife's political activities.

Ginni Thomas' pro-limited government activist group Liberty Central has indeed gone after ObamaCare. But as Mrs. Thomas pointed out last year, there are plenty of "judicial wives and husbands out there causing trouble; I'm just one of many."

The most glaring example is former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a very early Bill Clinton supporter. In 1997, Clinton appointed Rendell's wife to the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals — whose jurisdiction includes Pennsylvania — where she continues to sit. Then, in 1999, Clinton made Rendell himself chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

In the case of Justice Kagan, the issue is not political pillow talk but direct conflict of interest — plus statements that could lead to a full-blown Kagangate scandal.

If the GOP wins the House and Senate, and her obstinacy proves to be ridiculous, she could face impeachment.

I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about the Republicans, LOL.

Thomas could of found a way...
Why do so many folks do that? It is "could have".

It makes them sound like a character in an Elmore Leonard novel.

As LifeNews.com reports, Eric Holder's Justice Department has rebuffed numerous Freedom of Information Act requests to get to the bottom of Kagan's role as solicitor general in the successful Obama political strategy to get health reform enacted.

Holder's main job seems to be to obstruct justice and coverup.

I am sure no grammar and spelling whiz, and sometimes spell like I speak on purpose.

Not to hassle reefdiver, I just wonder why that in particular is so common.

It was kind of funny to see your comment; I had just rushed past reef’s without reading it because that “could of” was so offensive.

Samuel Chase, a SC justice, was impeached in 1805, but not convicted by the senate. The stated reason was certain legal improprieties in a libel case. The real motivation was political; Jefferson was upset that the Federalists were starting to create the concept of judicial review. I don’t know whether Kagan’s failure to recuse could constitute an impeachable offense, but maybe she doesn’t want to take that chance.

I think Tom Bergeron should try to clarify the situation the next time he chats with her after she finishes dancing.

I just wonder why that in particular is so common.

I wonder if school teachers are so loathe be judgmental that they fail to correct (train) their students.

You got any evidence that Kagan is female? Frankly I don’t think there is. I haven’t seen it.

I can't imagine anything more horrible than seeing evidence of Kagan's femaleness. Great goshamighty I'm not going to sleep tonight.
