For anyone seeking the nomination to suggest s/he’d take the #2 spot before the first vote is cast is not terribly bright. Even if they know they don’t have a prayer, they always say ‘when I’m president ...” and talk/act as if they will win. They don’t this early in the game talk about coming in 2nd, or being chosen for #2. It shows Cain’s political naivete. Top tier candidates don’t have the freedom to talk off the to of their heads.
