President Barack Obamas green jobs initiatives suffered another major blow late Monday, as the nonprofit National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado, announced a plan to lay off roughly 10 percent of its staff through a voluntary buy-out plan.
According to the Denver Post, the lab plans to eliminate between 100 and 150 of its 1,350 jobs. The Obama administration supported the NREL in 2009 with roughly $200 million in stimulus grants. Energy Secretary Stephen Chu visited Golden in May 2009 to promote the NREL as a beneficiary of those funds.

Follow the money:
Democrat party operatives and contributors own fake worthless “Green” company.
Money given to Obama and DNC.
Big loan given to fake company.
Democrats cash out, looting the loan.
Company lays off employees and eventually goes bankrupt.
Repeat with slight variation for 1.5 trillion dollars as TARP, “Stimulus,” “Jobs Bill, etc.
So they havef ~ 3k employees, and got a $200 mil grant just 2 years ago, and they’re out of money already?
Never mind. My mid is not working today.
It was 1,350 (= 135 muil / yur @ $100k wages), so yeah, they’re out of money.
The money has been funneled back to Obama and friends. Mission Accomplished.
It has produced next to nothing in 30 years. I do like wood pellet stoves however. We have poured Billion$ into NREL(SERI)
since it was built by Jimma Carter.
