Let me play devil’s advocate for a second: I am bogged down by e-mails [at work] which are generated by an automated system for work, most of them are pretty useless/irrelevant... but there’s some that aren’t and that can be quite important from this automated system. The thing about it is there’s no easy way to tell what IS important from that which is not, and that is ignoring the case where something is thought to be unimportant even though it turns out later that it was.
IMO, it’s becoming a [big] problem, in this society, where there is so much information, but so little of worth being shuffled around.
