Tea Party conservative Sen. Rand Paul is blocking pipeline safety legislation intended to fix some of the problems that led to the rupture of a natural gas pipeline in San Bruno last year that destroyed a neighborhood and killed eight people.
Paul, a first-term Kentucky Republican whose father, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Tex. is running for president, is using his prerogative as a senator to stymie action because he is opposed in principle to adding regulations and expanding the federal government.

“Tea Party conservative Sen. Rand Paul is blocking pipeline safety legislation intended to fix some of the problems that led to the rupture of a natural gas pipeline in San Bruno last year that destroyed a neighborhood and killed eight people.”
LOL! The most loaded opening statement EVA!!!!
Wish I could say the same for Mitch.
Yeah right. Isn't that what regulations always do. Fix problems. More like make things worse for both the consumer and businesses. Good for Rand, the sane Paul.
Those !@#$%^&* liberty loving tea party government hating patriots. How dare they stop over-regulation, after all if even one life could be saved, we must must must pass it no matter the cost. Unless it regulates the killing of babies in the womb, then it is choice. /s>

Ron Paul wants to impeach Obama for the drone attack on Alawawki. Biden doesn’t know who Van Jones is. I say, impeach them both (simultanously) and this is what we have:
Prior to the ratification of the 25th Amendment in 1967, there was no provision for filling a vacancy in the vice presidency. When a president died in office, the vice president succeeded him, and the vice presidency then remained vacant. The first vice president to take office under the new procedure was Gerald Ford, who was nominated by Nixon on Oct. 12, 1973, and confirmed by Congress the following Dec. 6.
The Vice President Joseph Biden
Speaker of the House John Boehner
President pro tempore of the Senate Daniel Inouye
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner
Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta
Attorney General Eric Holder
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar
Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack
Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke
Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan
Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood
Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu
Secretary of Education Arne Duncan
Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano

Does that line up scare the wits out of anybody besides me? John Boehner is fine for the next year and ahalf, but look at the rest of them! Would you want any of those clowns in the O Office?
No, I don’t want any of “those clowns” in the Oval Office. But what’s your point? I didn’t say anything about Ron Paul.
I just happened to know Ron Paul at one time. I worked with his very first campaign when he was my Congressman when I lived in TX. That was when he was sane. He’s gone off the deep end since, although I applaud his suggestion to impeach Obama (just not the reason). Ron; Rand. My mind took a flight of fancy when I saw juxtaposed headlines about Ron suggesting impeachment and Biden not even knowing who Van Jones is. And these were just a few stories away from Rand trying to impede drilling (my interpretation).
If you impeach Obama, we can’t allow the ignoramus, Biden, to stay. Then who? So I looked up the presidential succession rule (it’s been revised since I took Civics.) OMG — the only decent one in the line of successtion is John Boehner; and he’s not the best the GOP has to offer.
What if something REALLY awful happened in DC? Are you ready for President Geithner? The thought is enough to make me take up strong drink. How about President Chu?
Can't have that happenin’.
Thanks. Now I won't be able to sleep tonight.
