Dislike him if you will, but your conclusions based on this interview, outside of the context of everything else he has ever said and done, are way off the mark.
Again......good luck with finding someone who never says anything you don't like. And good luck with defining 'principled' as someone who never says anything that bothers you.

He certainly didn’t act like it.
But I understand your larger point, the way he handled this situation was unprincipled but it was just one incident. We should not judge a person on just one event. We should look at their complete record.
