Amanda Knox heads home after acquittal

American student Amanda Knox flew home free on Tuesday after spending four years in an Italian jail, leaving the family of murdered British student Meredith Kercher racked with anguish that they are no closer to the truth about her killing.

Knox, cleared of the murder by an appeals court on Monday night, left Rome shortly before midday for London where she and her family were boarding a connecting flight to their home in Seattle, airport officials said.

The 24-year-old broke down sobbing and nearly collapsed with emotion on Monday night after an appeals court in Perugia ruled she and her former boyfriend, Italian computer student Raffaele Sollecito, were not guilty of killing Kercher and should be freed immediately.

Prosecutors said on Tuesday they would appeal against the ruling and Kercher's disappointed family said their ordeal and the search for answers about the brutal murder would go on.

"We're still absorbing it. You think you've come to a decision and now it's been overturned," Meredith's mother Arline told reporters at a news conference.

She landed in Seattle about 20 minutes ago, she’s going through customs now. Live press conference scheduled for 5:45 PDT, still not sure if she will speak.

I think she didn’t do it. Just my take. She doesn’t seem to have the constitution to slice and dice somebody up like that.

Press conference starting now.

Actually, the article said the hairs came from the murderer. You obviously cant read. The article also points out that the only forensic evidence against Knox was her fingerprints on a knife in her kitchen, which proves nothing.

You are not very good at agenda posting.

“Gueda had a criminal history, was kicked out of his home for lies that never stopped and crimes he committed. he had a history of arrests, carrying knifes...and all his behavior after the crime fit the scenerio of someone who has committed a crime.”

It does seem more likely, yes. Only G-d knows.

That does not add up per the story, the dead girl had hair in her hand that did not come from him, it was either planted are another person was there. And who cleaned up the apartment.

Bungling local cops with little homicide experience showed up first and contaminated the crime scene before the highly-trained Carabinieri could arrive.

She has been cleared by lack of proofs

Yeah, and that's the way we silly Americans like it. You must prove guilt; not innocence.

It makes me so proud and humble to be in the company of so many learned experts who have read in the original Italian the Italian court’s 400 page report, and have drawn their expert opinions that the little murderess is innocent, has been railroaded, and should be generously rewarded for her suffering by Larry Flynt and the MSM.

Next, we move on to exonerate Mumia, Peltier and O.J. Simpson. Because the logic of these experts is sufficient and could apply to Jack the Ripper as well, not to mention that ALL of their knowledge about this case comes from the very MSM, that they like to dismiss whenever it becomes convenient.

Just like the logic of believing the man in prison for the murder, who admitted to it, after stating with a straight face that he’s a liar.

She is treated and welcomed like a heroe !
Just watch CNN you will have an accurate view of the bad path of your society.

I only said that she should have been asigned to residence in italia since that affair is fixed.

You don’t seem to care about the true victim in that affair.
But you are used to that apparently.
In France we have noticed how Strauss-Kahn was easily cleared of hese charges when he is accused by several women of sexual abuse and agressions .

You should keep a little bit humble you know and try to improve your wonderfull world.
I suppose that J.Christ and civilization belong to the “old world” for you.

Then go away and keep Obama and other “smart” people like that

You obviously have an agenda, Guede is the only black person involved, you couldnt comprehend the facts in your own article, and someone else confessed to the murder.

Stunning !

“female sexual propriety” ? What do you mean ??!!!

That is not a question of “frenchman” or “americanman”. This is utterly stupid. This is a question of right or wrong, good or bad...Does this mean something for you?

Then if there is no proofs then try to find proofs.
Maybe you don’t care but i recall that there is a murder which happened.
The problem is your morality

No one is treating her like a hero. We are just glad to have her back from that European hellhole of a justice system.

For the rest of your post, you are ignorant. You dont know what I “care” about, and you make unfounded accusations trying to start an old world/new world fight. You did not say she should be assigned to residence in Italy since the affair is fixed, whatever that is supposed to mean. You said Italy should keep her in judicial custody because she may have a link based on her way of life. As for DSK, he is your socialist. And the accuser recanted her accusation, so there is nothing to prosecute at that point.

It is probably best if you dont go around telling people to be humble.

You have the heroe you deserve.

Your media are stuck on stupid fueling the psychodrama, emotions, pathos...to make cry the stupids.

I care first about the family of her murdered roommate

Gueda also admitted to cell mates that Amanda and Rafaelle were not involved.

Yes he did, but his story moved frequently, as evidence was presented, in order to try and cover his own tracks...eventually implicating Knox and her boyfriend was an easy out, especially as the police manufactured the evidence to support their "theory"..also manufactured.

Even the knife they attempted to state did the deed was not the right one...it didn't fit the wounds which were made. But they still tried to use it to make their case, which was at best flimsy from the start.

This Geuda character was one brutal guy....they found a snap from her bra....16 hrs. later... and as they filmed the site you could see them kicking it around on the floor....so much for untainted evidence!

He was fast tracked thru their system..then pretty much the news dropped him off. The focus was unfairly on Knox and her boyfriend and the media fed that.

Yes, it was quite something seeing her giggle as she got on the elevator...I'm sure many of the things she once took for granted will seem a joy now and pleasure. Nice she is at home safely and with her family. It will be quite awhile sorting it out and readjusting now...but I'm also glad she is home.

The Us will not send her back no matter how this other appeal moves along..not going to happen.

Was not his hair, and was not the hair of the man she lied about and tried to frame either, now you try and keep up, there has been a lot of stories written about this and if it had matched they would not be writing stories asking who kill her, would they.
