Greed goes both ways. Corporations are like any abusive organization or being. They have power thru wealth. They use it to lobby government to protect their interests. They will cheat the taxpayer as long government looks the other way and corrupt gov officials. It is old as history itself. Unions began as a movement, but like all movements it becomes a business and then a racket. Both have been abusive and both have played a role in destroying common sense and trust in America. Now they want to kill each other to gain publicity. As far as I am concern, the best way to get rid of the left and greedy CEO is let come leftist fanatic shoot a banker and we arrest the leftist for murder. Now we get rid of both social pests. IMHO keep out of the fight, the leftist union and corporate bankers deserve each other. It is call God’s justice.

Businesses and unions are hardly morally equivalent. Most of what businesses do lobbying has to do with keeping the government out of their business and pockets. Because the the government has become so powerful, lobbying is needed for protection. Microsoft learned this lesson through being sued on bogus anti-trust charges. (until the suit, Microsoft had no lobbyists and wasn’t “contributing” to politicians)

Because the government now dispenses so much money, many other businesses have to deal with government to stay in business. Some businesses have adapted to our increasingly fascistic economic model by becoming subsidy and rent seekers. These are typically “green businesses” and businesses that are heavily unionized. But farmers are also major government welfare recipients. Nevertheless, this is a small proportion of businesses overall.

American unions, on the other hand, have always been political and parasitic. The vast majority of American workers stayed away from unions in droves until they were forced in by FDR’s Administration through the Wagner Act. Since Taft-Hartly American workers have shown what they think of unions by leaving in mass. The only exception is in the government. There unions fit well - parasitic organizations serving parasites.

You might consider what you would do if you created a business or were in charge of one and had to face and try to hold off looting politicians and bureaucrats every day.
