Here’s another thing you can use -

diatomaceous earth.

It’s a food grade powder that is harmless to people, but is deadly to bugs (anything with an exoskeleton) due to its micro razor sharp properties.

Sprinkle a bit in a storage container and turn it so that it covers all surfaces, then pour in your food stuffs.

Funny I haven’t thought of that. I have pounds of it - many - I mix it in the cats’ food to keep worms at bay (did get rid of some bad worms in one cat using DE) and got rid of a bad skunk-caused outside flea infestation. Also plan to use in garden if one every happens. But I forgot about its use in storing food! Thanks for the reminder and method, I was thinking I’d have to mix it in the food which would be troublesome and use a lot more.

I will add it to my food storing procedure.
