Pitch-Perfect Palin
American Thinker ^ | 10-6-2011 | C. Edmund Wright

Posted on 10/06/2011 5:36:15 AM PDT by C. Edmund Wright

Last night, Sarah Palin's statement -- and her breaking news interview with Mark Levin -- stressed some extremely important ideas. As such, her not running might well be among the least important topics she touched on. Yes, I know that's the news that everybody was waiting for -- but what interested me most was what Palin said about her vision for America and how she said it. It was crafted very intentionally --and it was simply pitch-perfect. Palin spoke of ideas and priorities. These were above and beyond what particular position she -- or anyone else -- might play in our arena of ideas. That she's still very much in the arena -- and planning on making a difference -- is obvious.

“I was speculating on a possible reason that she chose not to run.”

Perhaps Mikey wasn’t around in those years of the slick willie regime.

“What is the half-life of a 1/2 term governor and VP candidate on a losing ticket? Five years? Perhaps six and after that, pffft.”

Spoken with such erudition.

Nicely done, CEW. The comment section was generally good reading too. Can’t quite say the same about some of the posts in this thread. I guess for some FReepers, politics will never be anything but mudwrestling.

You have a very huge drip, now go fix it. You may start with a Lobotomy, use a sharp wrench. It is not quitting if you have not even jumped in the race dim bulb.

Who is your candidate? Oh let me guess slick Rick, or maybe Mr. Looney Tunes Paul?

I do not think anyone cares what you have to say unless it is how to use a plunger.

jg, I think she has successfully established herself in the World of Politics in this country. I think her riding horseback over the herd of free range truths out there in conjunction with the TEA Party is the best route for her, and for us under the circumstances.

Our job is IMO to continue the march towards a sane, and conservative Congress. There’s too much focus on the POTUS, and NOT enough on pulling the proverbial chain, and flushing the Congressional Bowl of DemoRATS, and RINO’s. There was some success in 2010, but those we succeeded in electing need reinforcements, and we need the Senate.

DemoRATS are an easy target as we know who they are, and can work against them. It’s the RINO’s that need to be identified for general public consumption, and taken out. People other than Political Junkie’s, and FReepers (redundant) don’t really know enough about the RINO’s. We cannot fail in getting the message across. The message being RINO’s are stealth DemoRATS should cover it IMO.

You know, you’ve posted this on every Palin thread I’ve seen today. I’m sure you’re excited to demonstrate your mastery of the fine art of Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, but really, it’s kind of getting quite...boring. It wasn’t that clever a comment the first time, let alone the 12th.

Yes, and “All war is based on deception” was a tad tiring after the first 3,000,000 times. How many times did you complain about that? I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Ahhh so.

On Wednesday I bought and watched The Undefeated. She is a remarkable lady, the Gold Standard for what a political servant should be. There could be no better standard bearer for us conservatives. However, she is not gone. She will still be the hall monitor for those running and a great political booster for those she chooses.
