Defiant Obama challenges GOP on jobs bill (but it was Democrat Reid that blocked the "jobs bill")
Yahoo ^ | 10/6/2011 | Ben Feller/ AP

Defiant and frustrated, President Barack Obama aggressively challenged Republicans Thursday to get behind his jobs plan or explain why not, declaring that if Congress fails to act "the American people will run them out of town."

The president used a White House news conference to attempt to heighten the pressure he's sought to create on the GOP by traveling around the country, into swing states and onto the home turf of key Republican foes including House Speaker John Boehner and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Giving a bit of ground on his own plan, he endorsed a new proposal by Senate Democrats to tax millionaires to pay for his jobs program. "This is not a game," he said.

Obama made no apologies for his decision to abandon seeking compromise with Republicans in favor of assailing them, sometimes by name. He contended that he'd gone out of his way to try to work with the GOP since becoming president, reaching hard-fought deals to raise the government's borrowing limit and avert a government shutdown, and had gotten nothing in return.

Obama’s teleprompter must have a virus as it seems to be running about 24 hours slow.

Why not? Because there isn't any jobs bill. Neither the House, or the Senate have an actual bill to even talk about, much less pass.

Last I heard the bill didn’t have a debtocrat co-sponsor also. Mr. Obama feels it is appropriate to purposely mislead his consitituents. Transparency I guess.

Most people aren't buying it anymore. He has to create some weird, incoherent protest on Wall Street to try and justify his rhetoric.

The people in the Wall Street protest need to go get a job and if they can't find a job then they need to blame Obama, not investors trying to make a buck.

Hey Hussein: Republicans do not have to explain a DAMN THING to you. Not one DAMN THING.

You would think this so-called constitutional professor would know the concept of co-equal branches of government. He is not in charge of the legislative branch. What a dillhole.

The White House press corps (corpse?) are such wimps. I was listening to the "press conference" on iHeart radio as I drove down the road and I started screaming at the radio. They let Obama get away with saying the most absurd things. They sit there and watch the man take the country apart and say nothing! Amazing debt, class warfare, racism, spitting on the military, killing business, etc, etc....

Call him a socialist or Marxist or Communist or moslem or whatever. The bottom line is that he is intentionally destroying this republic!

The only bill introduced was in the Senate by Republicans and was exact to Obama’s proposal. They did it because they knew this is a campaign stunt by Obama and they knew it would be rejected by the other Rats in the Senate.

Scuse me, but didn’t the “one” tell the Republicans to pound sand on the stimulus bill? Didn’t that get passed with only Demonrat support and with out debate or time to read it?

Hardly called working with them...

Why isn't some enterprising young report asking:
"Mr. President: Did you find out why there are no Democrat co-spoonsors in either the House OR Senate for your bill? Why are you singling out Republicans for your outrage?"

Because the enterprising young reporter probably approves of Obama and will vote for him.

Because the enterprising young reporter works for a news organization with a liberal view, and he/she doesn’t want to make waves or hurt his/her own career.

Because the reporter doesn’t want to deal with IRS audits or other harrassment which he/she finds suddenly coming up.

I’m sure there are other reasons why reporters go easy on Obama.

Harry Reid blocks Obama’s Kill-More-Jobs Bill in the Senate.
Not ONE Democrat member of the House is willing to bring it to the floor.

Yet, somehow, it’s all the GOP’s fault?
And the media doesn’t even dare to question that lie.

SERIOUSLY FOLKS, how did we get to this point?
