Biden: Occupy Wall Street, Tea Party Have Frustration in Common
ABC News ^ | October 6, 2011 | Devin Dwyer

Vice President Joe Biden today likened the Occupy Wall Street protests to expressions of grassroots frustration by members of the Tea Party. “Let’s be honest with one another,” Biden told an audience on camera at the Washington Ideas Forum. “What is the core of that protest? The core is: The bargain has been breached. The core is the American people do not think the system is fair, or on the level. That is the core is what you’re seeing with Wall Street. “There’s a lot in common with the Tea Party,” he said. “The Tea Party started, why? TARP. They thought it was unfair.” Biden cited Bank of America’s recent decision to impose a $5 monthly fee on some debit card users as an example of new perceived unfairness related to the banking sector that has fueled more popular frustration. “The middle class folks, these guys with the debit cards, are on their back. And [banks] are going to charge them $5 to use the cards? At minimum, they are totally tone-deaf,” Biden said.

As I’ve said for decades, Biden is an idiot. He has always been and idiot, and he will always be an idiot.

Yeah, sure, Joe. A lot in common between ordinary working families deeply concerned about the damage you and Obama are doing to our country, and a mob of Communist hippie agitators working for Obama to do more of the same.

Fundamentally, bot the OWS and Tea Party are opposed to the current intermingling of business and Government.

The Tea Party wants Government out of business, so we can do for ourselves, by ourselves.

The OWS wants business out of Government, so Government can do to us and for us.

No, Joe, there’s not a lot of commonality between a bunch of thugs wanting to bring down the economy completely, and a growing number of citizens who are tired of a government that is too big, and that works for itself, and not the people it is suppose to represent.

Personally, I think the OWS crowd and the TEA Party crowd couldn’t be any more dissimilar if they tried.

Out of curiosity, how many arrests have been made at all of the TEA Party events nationwide in the last 3 years.....and how many at the 3 weeks of OWS?

Yes, they are trying to make out like this is the Tea Party. What a bunch of bunk! Look at this article to see who is for this bunch of nuts:

http://dailycaller.com/2011/10/04/occupy-wall-street-protesters-are-demanding-something/#ixzz1a1kKSfUq

“With protesters impeding traffic, shouting slogans, holding signs and generally disrupting financial centers across the country, most notably Wall Street, the logical question is, why?

The answer is less obvious than might be expected, as there is no “official” list of demands or leader. Indeed, even big-name supporters of the movement have cited incoherent reasons when trying to spell out what has made these young people eschew their sofas, coffeehouses and showers to take to the streets.

Michael Moore suggested Monday that they want to see justice, or in his words, “perp walks” for bankers. Actress Roseanne Barr speculated that “reeducation camps” and “beheadings” for bankers might be good goals. And according to former Obama Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, “Occupy Wall Street” is a movement to save the “middle class.””

“Fundamentally, bot the OWS and Tea Party are opposed to the current intermingling of business and Government.”

What Biden is trying to do is legitimize OWS and slam the Tea Party with one stroke. For that, he’s way off base.

But, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Biden is correct, there is a lot of frustration. Neither party is doing things to create opportunities for the middle class. While Obama is worse, we did have weak job growth under GWB.

You summarize the difference in the source of frustration nicely, but the bottom line is a lot of people are unhappy with the whole mess.

Tea Party loves America, Flea Party hates America

Tea Party are employable, Flea Party unemployable

Tea Party knows soap and water, Flea Party makes passersby gag

Tea Party leaves parks clean, Flea Party leaves a steaming toxic waste dump behind

Tea Party expresses its goals and concerns clearly, Flea Party makes Joe Biden seem like the president of MENSA

Tea Party welcomes all patriotic Americans, Flea Party yells racist and anti-semitic slurs

Tea Party is about Americans and freedom, Flea Party is about UNIONS and Van Jones

Tea Party gives, Flea Party takes (and wants more)

Tea Party will be remembered by history, Flea Party will be forgotten in a few months (after the streets are bleached and disinfected)

Tea Party = America, Flea Party = Cuba

Biden is once again showing the symptoms of hoof-in-mouth disease.

There is no comparison at all between hard working, honestly outraged citizens who are broke and taxed into oblivion in spite of their best efforts, who march on Washington for a day, leave no mess in their wake and go home, and a bunch or union-sponsored, spoiled brats who live at home, pay no bills, and refuse to work for less than $20 an hour. They hang out for weeks in a business district, block traffic and throw trash all around. Not to mention that reporters on national TV are talking about the stench of body odor and urine all around them-never mind the extra work for police and other public employees they cause. What a crock...
