First, it was Jack Ryan. George Ryan was the Governor of Illinois, but ousted over corruption.

Second, David Axelrod, who used to work the city desk at the Chicago Tribune, got the Trib to seek the records from the judge. This was SOP for all prior Obama campaigns.
