Sarah knows how to talk the talk but has a problem walking the walk. Thank goodness this nation had real leaders in it past that were willing to make the sacrifices necessary to see the country thru the crises or our past. Where would we be today if General Washington declined the moment to stay in Virgina and take care of Martha? Dido millions of other Americans that risked all in defense of this great nation.

Political suicide is not a pretty thing to watch and Sarah political suicide will be particularly ugly. She has just proven all her detractors correct.
I was never really about winning, although winning was doable. It was about fighting the good fight, saving the nation from the corrupt political class that is ruining this country. Giving G*d fearing patriots a dog in the fight. As a candidate Sarah could have controlled the dialog and shined a light on the crony capitalism infesting D.C. Her value as a private citizen that has declined to join the battle will be greatly diminished. Why should anyone listen to a person that does not have the courage of her convictions? Now we have nothing but more of the same to look forward to. Meet the new boss same as the old boss. If anyone thinks any of the GOP candidates are going to clean up D.C I have a bridge in NYC for sale that might interest you.

Well I don’t know what the rest of Sarahs’ army is going to do but this solder is going AWOL too. If my general doesn’t think the country is worth fighting for any longer then who am I to think otherwise? My garden needs tending, the house news a new roof and I have lots of other chores that need doing. As I am no longer a young man I only have one or two fights left in me and since the fight for 2012 has been canceled I’d better tend to personal business.
I wish Sarah nothing but the best in her personal life as a political leader I am finished with her.

I and a lot of FReepers understand exactly your point, most of us are thinking many of those same thoughts and disappointments.
However as one in similar shoes, I would just encourage you to wait for more data.
Palin’s been pretty much exactly on the mark, as long as I’ve seen. Consistently. For the right reasons.
We may not fully understand yet, her plans.
Let’s give her the time and opportunity to show us.

You seem personally hurt and dismayed, and that’s really a crying shame, because you have yet to consider her serious death threats that she receives daily and the fact that she has to provide her own security!
No other candidate draws the massive crowds, and Sarah Palin’s children were not in unison for her run! Could it be that they were unwilling to lose their beloved Mom to a crack pot hater or Marxist union thug during a campaign rally in one of those massive 25,000+ people crowds?
Give *that* and them some consideration! Running for POTUS is a family affair and she’s always said that her family would come first.

I’m so sorry you feel deserted. I don’t. I was devastated October 5, but yesterday I became relieved. I am glad she’s not running. She has much to do without a target on her back and she won’t be the sacrificial lamb once obama’s fraud machine goes full steam.
