Fell silent? They were inaudible throughout the game.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Barves gone, BoSox gone, Yankees gone.

ARod comes up small....again.

You could hear the sadness in the announcers voices as the yanks lost, again.

Great Job Tigers!!! Enjoy the celebration because your season will at the hands the Texas Rangers. :)

That was one nerve wracking game for us Tiger fans. We were shaking in our boots about Nova and he only lasted 2 innings.

Verlander will be plenty fresh for the series against Texas.

Just goes to show you that all the money in the world can’t buy you a championship if all your star players come up small in big situations.

I am glad to see Verlander succeed, even though it usually comes at the Indians’ expense. As for the Yankees, it wasn’t a high-scoring game but using 5 pitchers isn’t the way to go.

Yeah I don't care much about Lee either, I just thought it was a slap in the face to the team that took him to the WS to say he left Texas because he thought Phillies gave him a better shot at the WS.

Seemed strange to me, but it turns out Nova left with some kind of injury after just two innings.

It wasn't the pitching that did the Yankees in . . . it was getting 10 hits and putting runners on base all over the place, and having just 2 runs to show for it.

The announcers were ridiculously biased but i guess most viewers hate the Yankees. 27 World Series wins tends to cause resentment.

I'm a Yankee fan but I admit that when the Yankees lose I tend to root for teams who haven't made or won the playoffs in awhile, except for the Red Sox. Congrats to Detroit!

Don’t think of it as a sports victory but rather a storied business and profit story going back a century.

Yankees had plenty of chances in this game. Plenty of chances. Bases loaded twice I think. Couple of long balls that just missed making it out of the park. Sucks to be them.

ROFL, from here you are downstream!

Go Red Wings! Go Tigers! Go Lions! Go Pistons! Go Wolverines! Go Spartans!

When you think about it, not many if any regions in our great country can match that.

I swear if Leeland smiled his face would crack.

But did you see that little bounce thing he was doing there at the last? Somewhere inside him a little boy was jumping up and down going, "pleasestrikeoutpleasestrikeoutpleasestrikeout... HE STRUCK HIM OUT!"

“Just goes to show you that all the money in the world can’t buy you a championship if all your star players come up small in big situations.”

I would think that when you have 8 teams playing post season, out of 30 teams in MLB, you did something right.

Besides, the Yankees have won the most championships...
27 World Series Championships in 40 World Series appearances, and the most pennants... a record 40 American League pennants.

Not too shabby.
