Sesame Street to Introduce a Poor, Starving Muppet to Educate on Growing Number of Starving Children

It’s an Obama world.
Meet “Lily” the starving muppet.

Here’s something else Barack Obama and democrats can be proud of.

With a record number of Americans on food stamps, record unemployment, increased debt and record poverty, Sesame Street will introduce a poor, starving muppet to educate on the growing number of starving children in Obama’s America.
Inside TV reported:

Sesame Street has a new muppet who is hungry for more than just cookies.

The iconic kids show is set to unveil a new impoverished puppet named Lily, whose family faces an ongoing struggle with hunger issues. Lily will be revealed in a one-hour Sesame Street primetime special, Growing Hope Against Hunger, which is being sponsored by Walmart. The special will star country singer Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams Paisley, as well as the Sesame Street Muppets.

“Food insecurity is a growing and difficult issue for adults to discuss, much less children,” said the Paisleys in a statement. “We are honored that Sesame Street, with its long history of tackling difficult issues with sensitivity, caring and warmth asked us to be a part of this important project.”

The special will share the stories of real-life families to raise awareness of hunger issues in the United States, as well as strategies that have helped these families find food.

You just think this is sarcasm. My niece has a 3rd grade daughter studying the Presidents in school. She seems to know quite a bit about many of the prominent presidents, but when she got to Obama, she added, "that's the good one." One can only imagine what is being taught in her class.

Reason #1097 that I home schooled my daughter.

"She said I just didn’t understand."

What did your sister expect you to understand, that the meal should be Filet Mignon or bust? That mac and cheese is beneath them? That she wanted her smokes and soda while the tax payers should fund their house and meals? Did you ask?

Just trying to get into your sister's mindset.

If Lily’s parents hadn’t used all their food stamp and welfare money to buy crack she would have enough to eat.

So where do those poor starving children get their flat screen TV to watch the show?

With a record number of Americans on food stamps

Yes, I was next to one at the grocery store the other day. She was getting a lot higher end meat than I was. I was getting the $1.68 a lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts..She was getting steaks, and (stupidly) buying pre sprinkled with paprika & onion powder boneless, skinless chicken breasts for grilling which was $6.98 a lb..

Apparently, published CDC and Dept of Ag research indicates that the nutritional intake of calories, protein, various vitamins and minerals - all the healthy, nutritional stuff - is roughly equal across socio-economic classes in the US.

The only difference noted was the higher proportion of obese women in the lower classes. (Big surprise).

Well, I’m sure that won’t stop the propaganda from the leftist media.

Anyone, BTW hear that truly obnoxious PSA thing with that whiney woman talking about being one of the “one-in-six” hungry Americans? Gag me with a silver spoon.

I'm proud to say neither of my kids have ever watched Sesame Street. In fact, yesterday, I asked them if they knew what PBS was.

“PBS Kids? Yeah, that's the channel with all the stupid shows on it.”

Interestingly, they watch some thing called “Hitalia”, in which all the characters are named after countries, and each one is blessed with the most unpleasant, yet completely true stero-types each nation has earned.

Example: “Italy” is weak and timid, “Germany” always starting fights, “America” is the tough guy, “Canada” invisible to other characters, “Russia” has a drinking problem and is constantly fighting “General Winter”.

They constantly ask me questions about countries and history. It's like nothing I could have imagined.

What a crock!

Just ONE photo of a child who even APPEARED to be starving would send the country into a tizzy.

There is no “there” there. This is propaganda.

Why stupidly? After all, she was using your money to pay for her convenience. And if she runs out, there will be some other government handout program to give her some more while you are eating ground chuck and mac and cheese.

No, but I want to, since those things are ridiculous enough to be great entertainment. My favorite is a radio spot that alters the song “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” to be about children instead of flowers, then tells us children are dying by the truckloads due to...can you guess? Parental neglect? Hate crimes? Lead paint in toys? No, no, no: secondhand smoke. Seriously.

“When will we ever learn?”

Yeah, I see those poor folks being interviewed by the LSM as the waddle down the street to and from the welfare office, bitching about their lot in life...and then waddling off to plant their fat asses in front of their 50” flat panel TVs!

I like the reality.

“Lily” needs to have her mother and her mother's live-in boyfriend on the show too.

Let's keep it 'real-real'...

Mommy gets enough food stamps to feed the family - that's been proven. She gets an amount equal to what she needs to feed Lily. If the stamps are used the way they're suppose to be used.

But Mommy has to keep her boy friend happy so he won't hurt her or Lily... And she has to feed him. Mommy sells some of those food stamps for pennies on the dollar so boyfriend will be happy. Yeah, it happens a LOT more than there not being enough food stamps to feed a family.

It might be time to get real... and I don't mean the 'fake real' of liberal elite delusion. I mean the real real.

Lily not having a father to protect her is the biggest threat to her well being. Not a lack of food stamps.

On their way home, they waddle to the Indian casinos to play slots for awhile, taking up two stools, one for each cheek.

Channeling Wall Street Protesters:

Sesame Street are capitalist pigs - they sell products that should be given away for free....here’s their corporate wares site:
http://store.sesamestreet.org/Dept.aspx?cp=21415_21456_21465&sort=&page=1

If they create the Lily toy it should be free for the asking or ordered through the food stamp program. If they plan on selling this downtrodden toy then they are worse than Wall Street.

(jeepers this is fun)
