Meet “Lily” the starving muppet.
Here’s something else Barack Obama and democrats can be proud of.
With a record number of Americans on food stamps, record unemployment, increased debt and record poverty, Sesame Street will introduce a poor, starving muppet to educate on the growing number of starving children in Obama’s America.
Inside TV reported:
Sesame Street has a new muppet who is hungry for more than just cookies.
The iconic kids show is set to unveil a new impoverished puppet named Lily, whose family faces an ongoing struggle with hunger issues. Lily will be revealed in a one-hour Sesame Street primetime special, Growing Hope Against Hunger, which is being sponsored by Walmart. The special will star country singer Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams Paisley, as well as the Sesame Street Muppets.
“Food insecurity is a growing and difficult issue for adults to discuss, much less children,” said the Paisleys in a statement. “We are honored that Sesame Street, with its long history of tackling difficult issues with sensitivity, caring and warmth asked us to be a part of this important project.”
The special will share the stories of real-life families to raise awareness of hunger issues in the United States, as well as strategies that have helped these families find food.

It was the same sob story that she told to all her lib friends to get sympathy. She forgot that I was there at the time that they were “starving”.

It was the 90’s. You could get three boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese for 1.00.
I’m curious to know who’s behind the big push to convince us that hunger is such a huge issue. I was recently polled on it and the “facts” they stated about hunger in the US were beyond ridiculous. Now not only am I a globull warming denier, I’m also a hunger-crisis denier. I’m collecting leftist titles as fast as they can give ‘em.

Despite grinding poverty, Oscar built himself a home out of whatever he could find and make do with, feeding off the scraps from abundance enjoyed by the well-off neighbors (I’m sure those actors are doing quite well). While a bit of a grouch, his tenacious survival instincts have kept him going in a contented lifestyle for decades.
He is, of course, ignored by the Leftist elite because they cannot subjugate him.

Maybe it has been. I don’t know much about it, honestly, only what’s been going on lately.
Those PBS people should be imprisoned for child abuse.
I pray your sister can find her way out of self-pity, dependency cycle that the government bureaucrats promote.
Honestly, she can’t.
She is a victim in the first degree and will always be that way. Even her kids have given up on her.
