Maybe. If not for the 2010 GOP takeover of the House, it’s unlikely anything would have been done at all. F&F shows a deeply unsettling lack of concern by Obama’s top decision-makers about committing boatloads of felonies.
Until we start seeing criminal indictments and convictions, it remains quite possible that they were right.

Finally, the Fast and Furious scandal has now become a large-scale criminal investigation. It has enveloped several agencies, including the Justice Department; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Drug Enforcement Administration; the U.S. attorney's office in Arizona; and now even the White House. The fact that Eric Holder will likely never appoint a special counsel makes it even more imperative that the office of the Justice Department inspector general should be above reproach.
