Do Dems Dare Dump Barry?
American Thinker ^ | October 7,2011 | Bruce Walker

Democrats face an impossible political situation: smile, nod, and re-nominate Obama for a second term in 2012 or begin to maneuver Obama into walking gracefully away, in hopes, perhaps, of finding a chance to run again in the future.

The size of the Democrat Obama collapse is hard to exaggerate. The twin defeats in New York and Nevada House races were slobberknockers in the political ring. Wisconsin had a series of elections -- State Supreme Court election and several State Senate recalls -- and Democrats lost in a strongly union state where even labor hacks could not turn out votes in low-turnout elections to match enraged Wisconsin voters.

Polls show the same nightmare for Democrats led by Obama. Rasmussen tracks presidential popularity, but the crucial number is in the strongly disapprove category. These are voters highly unlikely to change their minds and strongly likely to show up on Election Day. This number has been hovering for weeks around 45%, and once it hits 50%, then whoever opposes Obama in November will win. Gallup shows that Republican voters are much more excited about voting than Democrats, which simply reinforces the Rasmussen numbers.

So for Democrat leaders, there really is no choice. They are stuck with Obama, and even tweaking the ticket -- like replacing Biden with Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton -- will not really change anything. Worse, as Obama is seen more and more like poison, campaign funds and volunteers will evaporate; Democrats running in 2012 will scoot their standard-bearer aside, hoping for sheer survival; and the collapse of this least of presidents will become a certain

I’m reminded of how sure we were McCain would win.

Not a chance.

The blacks would flip out and stay home and this would cost the ‘Rats dearly in down-ballot races nationwide.

Barry and dump in the same sentence. Appropriate.

I was never even confident McCain would win, must less sure.

“I’m reminded of how sure we were McCain would win.”

It was pretty hard to foresee him calling off his campaign, rushing back to stop the TARP fiasco then knuckle under...then the following crash...he didn’t lose so much as he surrendered. I get sick thinking of it. Zero had no chance. None. It was like watching Perot elect Clinton.

I think there is a chance (a small chance) that he would be “promoted” to UN Secretary General or something like that, and not run again.

Somehow I don’t think we’ll be rid of him either way for a while. I hope I’m wrong about that!

The Dems can’t dump Obama, that’d be racist.

I always think it is a good idea to take out the trash.

Not to mention it is a job creator.

I hope he is escorted out in the same way Obama escorted out the Dahli Lama.

Dump?

Well let me say this. If I were a billionaire, I would consider hiring some private security for him. Liberals often find martyrs to be quite valuable - especially if in the liberal point of view, someones usefulness as a living person is at an end.

I've had friends of mine accuse me of being extreme about this, but when you look at the “win at all costs” examples, the most egregious ones are always liberal.

I put NOTHING past them. Especially if they can also succeed in blaming it on someone Christian, male, Republican, and right wing.

We know Obama doesn't like to work....Hence, I think he's looking for a good job for Michelle. Maybe her own cooking show??

Better yet...for the rest of their lives....Let both of them eat peas!!!

I really think they are a "hateful" couple....and I'm using Rev Wrong's church as the basis of that hate.

Yes, they are at a crossroads. They can go the way of having zer0 step aside, and find someone who *might* win, so that they can continue to piece-meal continue destroying this republic, OR.......

They could go the other way, double-down on their destruction, continue nationalizing industries, clobbering the private sector, changing Senate rules, issuing Republic-ending constitutional operation of the executive, and just collapse everything. Like musical chairs, they'll be seated before the music ends.

“...that he would be “promoted” to UN Secretary General...”

Yet another reason for the US to be out of the UN, and the UN out of the US.

Obama will be the nominee - period. The dims can ill-afford to piss off one of their largest voting blocks. It just ain’t gonna happen.

Yeah...rule is that NO citizen of the Security Council can be UN President.

No problemo....

Barry flashes his Kenyan BC and the rest is history.

Barring death or coma, Obama will stand for reelection. All other speculation is silly.
